Why “must-haves” are still the same? Classic is better than “new”?

Chiacchierando per caso con una chiccosissima signora bionda delle mode, delle ultime invenzioni degli stilisti e degli eccessi che hanno spopolato fino a poco fa intorno a noi (e che speriamo che il bon ton che le prossime collezioni ci hanno promesso spazzi via per un bel pò), è emerso un interrogativo che ci ha fatto pensare, ossia: perchè, nonostante siamo bombardati da innumerevoli input, ogni giorno spunti un nuovo brand e gli stimoli siano infiniti e per tutti i gusti, i capi che restano "must-have" sono sempre quegli intramontabili pezzi che abbiamo nell'armadio da anni, come un trench beige, un paio di vecchi jeans sdruciti da cui non ci separeremo mai, o un maglione over, che buttiamo casualmente sulle spalle nelle mezze stagioni ed è sempre perfetto?

Quei pezzi "classici", o meglio, ciò che è stato creato dagli stilisti nei decenni passati e che ci è entrato nel cuore, ha da subito battuto tutto ciò che verrà dopo? La moda guarda sempre al passato oppure semplicemente ci sono capi che resteranno sempre intramontabili "must-have" senza pari?

Perchè, se pensiamo alla parola "stile", ciò che affiora immediatamente fra i ricordi è una fotografia di Jacqueline Kennedy con un classico filo di perle, un classico paio di ballerine ai piedi e una classica Kelly di Hermes? Forse abbiamo già visto tutto? Hanno già creato tutto?

Se questa fosse la risposta allora da cosa ci stiamo facendo abbagliare?

E allora siamo giunte alla conclusione che è sicuramente la rivisitazione e la ricerca la chiave di tutto; gli stilisti (purtroppo solo a volte..) si ispirano guardando quei capi che vengono dal passato e che sono diventati mito (e che non saranno mai "fashion" nell'accezione negativa del termine!) per crearne un'evoluzione che li faccia rivivere in una chiave più moderna e che li renda sempre più irresistibili. Il vecchio "classico" si trasforma nel nuovo "must-have".

Ma ci piacerebbe sapere anche la vostra opinione. Siete d'accordo con la nostra analisi?

Waffling casually with a very chic blonde madame about fashion trends, last designers' creations and excess which became so popular until yesterday all around us (and which we really hope that will be washed away for a while by the bon ton promised by next collections), a question about fashion have been rised and the thing is: why, notwithstanding we are bombed out by numberless input, every day a new brand appears and incentives are endless and for every kind of taste, clothes which continue to be "must-haves" are always those everlasting pieces which stay in our wardrobe from years and years, as a beige trench, a pair of old ruined blue jeans, or an oversize pull, to be weared casually in the middle seasons and is always perfect?

Those "classic" pieces, or, to say it better, designers' creations of past decades and which remain in our hearts immediately outflanked all next creations? Fashion always takes a look to the past or simply there are some pieces wich will rest always eternal "must-haves" with unmatched?

Why if we think about word "style" immediately a picture of Jacqueline Kennedy wearing a classic pearl necklace, a classic pair of ballerinas and a classic Kelly bag by Hermes comes in our mind? Maybe there's nothing to see anymore? Designers created everything yet?

If such should be the ansewr what is going to catch us?

And so we reached the conclusion that renovation and research is the key; the designers (unfortunately not always..) are inspired by those clothes from the past and which became a myth (and that for that reason will never become "fashion" with the negative meaning!) with the aim to create an evolution to let them live again in a more modern way and that make them more irresistible day by day. So the old "classic" turns into new "must-have".
